We’re glad to announce, that both our Translator as well as our Comics apps will be available in High Definition versions for the new HP TouchPad at launch tomorrow July 1st.

Both apps make great use of the additional screen estate available on the TouchPad in comparison to their phone counterparts. For example Translator HD contains a history of all your recently translated phrases, and Comics HD makes for a great and fun reading experience for your favorite webcomics in full size. See below for a couple of screenshots of the new app.

Both apps are available for free at launch in the HP App Catalog.

We’ve just updated our popular Translator app to leverage the webOS 2.0 Just Type feature. Palm Pre 2 users with HP webOS 2.0 installed can now Just Type any phrase and automatically translate it in one of the over 45 available languages. The language of the entered text will be automatically detected.

Translator 0.9.8 is now available in the App Catalog. Note that Just Type only works with webOS 2.0 or newer.

Users of either one of JetBrains‘ fanstastic IDE products can now use our webOS-Storm Plugin to develop webOS apps with WebStorn, PhpStorm or IntelliJ IDEA.

The webOS-Storm Plugin is a replacement for the official webOS Eclipse Plugin for developers who want to use the JetBrains IDEs.

If you don’t know about WebStorm yet, why don’t you try it now. It’s got a 45-day evaluation period, and is 50% off until December 30th.

The software is open source (on GitHub) and available now for download via the integrated Plugin Manager in your IDE.

More information is available on the webOS-Storm page.
